Castor Oil Derivative Solubilizer
Tansol
Tansol grades are castor oil derivatives: non-ionic solubilizers and emulsifying agents made by reacting hydrogenated castor oil with ethylene oxide. They combine a hydrophobic and a hydrophilic part, and are almost tasteless and odorless.
They solubilize fat-soluble vitamins, perfumes, essential oils and other hydrophobic pharmaceuticals, converting oil-soluble ingredients into clear solutions or emulsions. They improve the solubility of poorly soluble drugs (BCS class II and IV).
Applications
Creams, lotions, perfumes, hair tonics, vitamin solubilizer, aerosol formulations
